Meet Graham McBride, Program Manager at PartnerHero.
Hey there! My name is Graham and I'm 30 years old. I’m a program manager for a US healthcare provider and I’ve been with PartnerHero for a little over 2 years.
I’m a Boise native and I love where I live! I’m passionate about research, especially local history. If you ever want a tour of Boise, I’d love to show you around!
I’ve always liked to camp and enjoy being out in nature. I’m especially fond of Idaho's amazing hot springs.
During quarantine I picked up several other outdoor hobbies that have let me take on even more of the area's beauty. My partner Matt and I have taken up snowshoeing, backpacking and even mountain biking! All of this has gotten me closer to Idaho’s wild places and introduced me to a rich diversity of plants and animals. I’ve become passionate about conservation and have joined the board of the local chapter of the Idaho Native Plant Society.
I love to garden, so learning about native plants has given me the chance to educate others and help them design and maintain native plants in their home gardens.
I had a hard time adjusting to working from home, especially when trying to preserve a life-work balance. I didn’t like having a dedicated room in my house for just work- it felt inauthentic to me.
I’ve developed a philosophy that when I’m done for the day, I put my workstation away and turn my home back into my home.
My experiences in leadership at PartnerHero have made me a better person and have contributed to my self-confidence. I’ve learned to leverage my strengths and to follow my passions. I’ve taken that to heart and have applied what I’ve learned to my hobbies and volunteer work.
I encourage everyone to keep following their passions and to stay curious- you never know where you might end up! Until next time, bye!
