Hi, my name is Alex. I'm 28 years old, and I’m the site manager for our Romanian Hub here at PartnerHero.
I was born and raised in Bucharest, Romania, and while I spent all of my childhood here, when I turned 18 I packed my bags and travelled to the west of Europe.
I studied Drama and performance in the UK. Throughout my years there I had plenty of memorable experiences:
Outrageous student parties, cultural diversity, touring shows nationally, working with children and applying theater in education, but the highlight of it all was volunteering at the local community center where, through drama and acting exercises, I helped people on the autism spectrum improve their social skills.
It was a very enlightening and fulfilling experience. If I had a similar opportunity in the future, I wouldn’t think twice.
Putting the drama aside, I like seasonal sports, snowboarding during the winter and swimming during the summer but right now I am really into skimboarding.
I found out about skimboarding a couple of years back and I thought it was so much fun that I got myself a board straight away. Let me tell you something I learned the hard way- it’s not as easy as it looks, but I'm trying to get better.
My job at PartnerHero allows me to be of service by making sure that people around me have all the means to be successful in their role, as well as giving me the opportunity to help PartnerHero do what PartnerHero does best - build amazing communities of diverse, supportive and inclusive professionals wherever we go!
If you ever plan to visit Romania, let me know, and I’ll make sure you don’t miss out on any must sees on your trip!
